WASHINGTON, D.C. - National Association of Regulatory Commissioners (NARUC) President Michael Caron recently appointed Arizona Corporation Commissioner Kevin Thompson to the Committee on Electricity.
“Kevin's vast utility and regulatory experience, paired with his commendable tenure as a twice-elected Councilman for the City of Mesa, exemplifies true dedication and leadership,” said NARUC President Michael Caron. “From his combat service in Operation Desert Storm to his staunch advocacy for sustainable water policies and economic development in Arizona, Commissioner Thompson consistently makes a difference.”
As a member of the Committee, Commissioner Thompson will help develop and advance policies that promote reliable, adequate, and affordable supply of electricity. This includes seeking ways to improve the quality, effectiveness, and fairness of regulation through education, cooperation, and exchange of information by collaborating with related Federal agencies and other state public service regulatory commissions.
