Interim Director Appointed to Lead Arizona Corporation Commission Staff

 
 

PHOENIX — In a unanimous vote today, Commissioners appointed Matthew Neubert as the Interim Executive Director of the Arizona Corporation Commission. Neubert will take on the administrative role overseeing day-to-day operations of the nine divisions with the organization.

“Matt has served with honor and integrity at the Commission over the years,” said Chairman Tom Forese. “He has a fantastic track record and I think he will do an excellent job steering the Commission.”

Neubert served most recently as the Director of the Corporation Commission’s Securities Division for 15 years overseeing 46 employees. Prior to that, Neubert served as Director of Registration and Compliance within the Securities Division.

“I am honored to answer the call to serve in an interim capacity,” said Neubert. “We have a tremendous staff of dedicated individuals who help to inform Commissioners on utility services and rates, railroad and pipeline safety, securities investors, business filings and corporations on a daily basis.”

Commissioners voted on the interim appointment during today’s Staff Meeting agreeing to discuss a recruitment plan for a permanent Executive Director during next month’s Staff meeting.
