Phoenix, Arizona - The Arizona Corporation Commission ordered Lucio George Martinez (“Martinez”) a repeat securities violator, and his spouse, to pay $2,775,000 in restitution and $80,000 administrative penalties for committing securities violations and fraud.
Martinez has resided in Arizona since June 2003. He is not registered as securities salesman or dealer by the Commission.
In 2020, Martinez founded and served as chairman of a consumer-packaged goods company, MyBrandForce, which allegedly focused on providing data analytics to clients to improve branding and retail execution. Between October 2023 and November 2023, Martinez sold 16 investments for MyBrandForce totaling $2,775,000 from 13 investors. The securities had not been registered with the ACC, and Martinez failed to disclose a prior ACC order against him for securities fraud. Martinez also misled at least one investor by falsely telling him that the restitution from the prior Order had been paid in full.
Martinez’s previous order from the ACC involved an entity he co-founded, Shadow Beverages and Snacks LLC. In 2017, the ACC found that Shadow Beverages and Martinez defrauded investors and ordered them to pay $1,492,500 in restitution and $50,000 in administrative penalties.
