| Connie Walczak, Commission Staff, opened the meeting welcoming the Panel members. Panel and Staff were introduced. |
| Staff opened the discussion regarding the consumer information label. Copies of submitted comments had been emailed to the Panel prior to the meeting. Copies of Ed Mangan's (Energy Design & Consulting) letter to Barbara Wytaske were made available to the Panel at the meeting. Ed Mangan gave a summary of this letter. After much discussion, the Panel agreed to a line item discussion of R14-2-1617. |
| Questions about how other states were handling their label requirements were asked. Barbara Keene offered information on the Texas label. The panel felt we should obtain and review any current information available from other states. Bud Annan (Arizona Clean Energy Industries Alliance) suggested we talk with David Moskovitz (Regulatory Assistance Project) who is the nations expert on labeling. He will provide the telephone number to Staff. |
| Betsy Bolding (Tucson Electric Power) agreed to compile the results of the label discussion and e-mail it to Mary Ippolito at mippolito@cc.state.az.us. Mary will then e-mail the information to the Panel members. Any response to this should be e-mailed to Mary who will then forward it to the Panel. |
| The Panel will have an opportunity to review the results of this meeting and continue discussion at the next meeting. |
| Sharon Madden (Arizona Public Service) asked that the sign in sheet be made available to the panel members. This will be scanned and added as an attachment to all future minutes. |
| The next meeting of the Consumer Information Advisory Panel is scheduled for Friday, August 17, 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Pipeline Safety Conference Room, 1st Floor, 1200 West Washington, Phoenix, Arizona. The agenda and any related materials will be sent to all Panel members prior to the meeting. |
