| Connie Walczak, Commission Staff, opened the meeting welcoming the Panel members. She introduced Bradley Morton who recently accepted the position vacated by Jennifer Donlon. Grupo Ñ Advertising, Panel and Staff were introduced. |
| David Diaz, Grupo Ñ Advertising gave a brief overview of the consumer education video on electric competition and conservation. Panel members viewed the video and provided feedback on its contents. Each video will include both English and Spanish versions of the information. The Panel congratulated David Diaz on the final product. A suggestion was made to put the video on CD, DVD and the Commission web site as a cost affective way to distribute the material. The suggested ideas will be investigated. A copy of the video should be available to all Panel members by the next CIAP meeting. |
| Barbara Keene, Commission Staff, opened discussion on the consumer information label required in the electric competition rules. She provided copies of Grand Canyon State Electric Cooperative's suggestions to the group. The suggestions were compiled by representatives of distribution cooperatives and forwarded in a letter to Barbara Keene. |
| The Panel members discussed the list of suggestions. |
| Barbara Wytaske, Assistant Director, requested that the Panel members submit comments regarding their request for a waiver of the consumer information label. The information should be e-mailed to Mary Ippolito at mippolito@cc.state.az.us. Mary will compile all comments received and e-mail them to Panel members prior to the next meeting. The Panel agreed that a joint waiver would be the most effective. Barbara Keene advised she would obtain information regarding how other states use the label. It will be scanned and e-mailed to the Panel. |
| The next meeting of the Consumer Information Advisory Panel is scheduled for Friday, July 27, 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Pipeline Safety Conference Room, 1st Floor, 1200 West Washington, Phoenix, Arizona. The agenda and any related materials will be sent to all Panel members prior to the meeting. |
