Connie Walczak, Commission Staff, opened the meeting welcoming the Panel Members. Grupo Ñ Advertising, Panel and Staff were introduced.
A hardcopy of the current Electric Competition Power Point Presentation containing new slides on "Hot Topics" and "Using Energy Wisely" was provided to Panel Members. Following a discussion on information Utilities are making available for their customers, it was decided that each of the Utilities would send a packet of their conservation materials to Commission Staff to review and possibly incorporate into the current Presentation.
Damin Lopez from Grupo Ñ Advertising gave an overview of the projects his group is working on. The script for the video is moving along and scheduled for completion in April. Discussions with editorial boards are in development. When completed, the video will be made available and distributed to schools, government entities, community based organizations, neighborhood associations and large businesses. It may also be used as part of the Staff presentation on restructuring. The second tier of the plan will include electronic media and public service announcements.
Connie Walczak provided Panel Members a list of Presentations that have been given as well as a current schedule for future Presentations.
Panel Members discussed meetings currently being held in the area regarding conservation measures and asked that the group be informed about future meetings that the Commission may be aware of.
A request was made to discuss the Electric Label at the next CIAP meeting. Staff agreed to ask Barbara Keene to attend the next meeting for this discussion.
| Due to unforeseen scheduling problems, the next meeting of the Consumer Information Advisory Panel is scheduled for Friday, May 4, 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Conference Room, Floor 2, 1200 West Washington, Phoenix, Arizona.
