ATTENDANCE: No Quorum of Commissioners. Members of Commission Staff, Members of Consumer Information Advisory Panel including Energy Consulting and Design, Grand Canyon State Electric Cooperative Association, Inc., Trico Electric, Tucson Electric Power, Arizona Community Action Association, Arizona Department of Commerce Energy Officer, Residential Utility Consumers Office, Salt River Project, Arizona Public Service, Citizens Utilities-Electric, ACEIA, New West Energy, Pinnacle West and SSVEC.
TOPIC: Consumer Information Advisory Panel Meeting
MATTERS DISCUSSED:
Connie Walczak, Commission Staff, opened the meeting welcoming the Panel Members. Staff and Panel were introduced.
During the previous meeting, Staff requested the Panel to e-mail or fax input for possible changes to Frequently Asked Questions - Residential. Jennifer Donlon, Commission Staff, went over the revisions. After several additional changes, the Panel approved the final draft of the Frequently Asked Questions - Residential and the Consumer Checklist. This revised flyer will be sent to consumers by Consumer Services and will also be converted into a brochure format.
Staff will e-mail Frequently Asked Questions - Small Commercial and Consumer Checklist to each member of the Panel by February 18th for their review and ask that input for possible changes be e-mailed or faxed to Staff before the February 25th meeting.
Barbara Keene, Commission Staff, reviewed the changes that were incorporated into the Brief Introduction for Small Commercial Electric Customers and Brief Introduction for Residential Electric Customers. A final revised copy will be e-mailed to the Panel, which will incorporate suggested changes. The revised copy will replace the current flyer Consumer Services has been mailing to consumers.
Web page development has been delayed until the Commission's switch to a new server is complete.
Brochure development was discussed. The first brochures expected to be produced will be using the revised flyer information for Frequently Asked Questions - Residential & Small Commercial and Brief Introduction for Residential & Small Commercial Electric Customers. Information regarding the brochure development time frame was questioned. Staff will advise the Panel as soon as actual dates are known.
Staff discussed upcoming Public Service Announcements (PSA's), a video, and the Speakers Bureau Presentation, all in various stages of development. The Panel requested to hear the ACC presentation when it is complete.
