On-line Certificates of Good Standing are here!

The Division is pleased to announce that companies may print a Certificate of Good Standing off our website and pay for the certificate with a Visa or MasterCard. The certificate will print on whatever type of paper that you use in your work or home printer. The quality of the certificate will depend upon the quality of your printer and the type of paper that you use. Certificates printed at the Division will still be printed on parchment paper.

The on-line version of the Certificate includes a unique identifying number which can be used to obtain another copy of the certificate at a later date.

To access a Certificate, you must first inquire on a specific entity registered with the Division. To do so, follow these instructions:

  • From the Corporations Main Page, click on “Lookup information about a Corporation of LLC” on the “How Do I?” section. This is next to the animated cartoon character of the person on his computer.
  • Type in the name of the company for which you want a Certificate of Good Standing.
  • Double click on the company name to inquire on the company.
  • Click the “Check Corporate Status” button in the upper right-hand corner.
  • The next screen will notify you whether the company is in good standing.
  • Follow all instructions for purchase and print a Certificate.

To get started, click here.

A special note to organizations that rely on Certificates of Good Standing from the Division:
Certificates printed from our website will be identical in wording and format to the ones that we currently provide. However, they will include a unique identification number under the signature of the Executive Director. Should you ever doubt the validity of an on-line certificate, you can visit our website, pull up the company in question and provide the validation number indicated on the certificate to assure that the certificate is legitimate. Certificates printed by our Division will be on tan-colored parchment paper and include two signatures: The Executive Director of the Corporation Commission and the Division employee printing the Certificate.

To check on the validity of a Certificate, follow these instructions:

  • From the Corporations Main Page, click on “Lookup information about a Corporation of LLC” on the “How Do I?” section. This is next to the animated cartoon character of the person on his computer.
  • Type in the name of the company for which you would like to verify a Certificate.
  • Double click on the company name to inquire on the company.
  • Click the “Check Corporate Status” button in the upper right-hand corner.
  • Scroll down to the “Instructions for Re-Printing Certificates” section.
  • Type the unique identification number in the box above the “Re-print Certificate” button.
  • If the Certificate for the company appears on your computer screen, then the Certificate is authentic.

You are always welcome to call us at (602) 542-3026 should you have other questions about the status of a company registered with the Division.
